Fashion Whirled always loves the fragrant notes that waft through the Elements Showcase near the Westside Highway twice a year in the Skylight West building.
Delicate “Suspension” collection pieces from Bliss Lau
This visit, the premier fragrance and design show hit upon a few – okay, really a SLEW – of our favorite things – like finely tempered suspension bridge-inspired jewelry from Bliss Lau (above) and the more gothic, found-object skulls, talons, quills and nails (not found!) from K/ller Collection (way below). Loved the chemical-free nail products from 10Over10, as well as those colorful options from Whet and USL.
Leilana Bishop’s Hawaiian-inspirations: gardenia, orange blossom and lilac
Leilana Bishop, former model turned fragrance company founder, pulls her inspiration from her homeland of Hawaiia for gorgeous gardenia, lilac and orange blossom loveliness. So sweet to chat with! And we adored meeting Victoria England, the designer and founder of Tulip, as we sampled her natural-based scents. Red Thalhammer, the raw chocolatier from Antidote, kept our spirits – and energy – up as we sampled her delicious raw chocolate treats, er, super foods (never call them candy!).

Smith & Chang’s General Store chic
New friend Claudia Gunter, marketing and creative development director at Smith & Chang, turned us on to Jersey City, where we will tool around soon; Smith & Chang rocked the General Store concept, even rolling out a bug-preventative soap we are dying to try. Can’t wait to coffee with Sarah Tay, she of the eponymous Tay Pure and Clean body products, after she settles into our deliciously favorite neighborhood, Red Hook. Jamie hooked me up with my own personalized perfume mixed with essential oils by Memoire Liquide.

We’ll hook you up on a few of our plus adoré separately coming up, but wanted to give you a taste of last week’s fragrant (and more) finds.
