These guys were stokin’ and smokin’ Sunday at Madison Park for the annual Big Apple BBQ Block Party.
And boy was it ever a block party! BBQ smokers circumnavigated the entire outer rim of the park, while barbeque fans, fanatics and feasters lined up for, what, hours?
With our out-of-town French friends in tow and fresh off the Big Toot boat ride around the Statue of Liberty (more on that, later), some of us cranky, all of us starving, we finally found parking and followed our noses towards the intoxicating scent of smoke and spicy ‘que sauce. We nabbed a line, the shortest we could find, and ended up with Dinosaur Hill pulled pork sammies.
Mmmmm. Happiness can always generally be found in a big barbeque’d pork sammie!
