Get the Sea Island Blues News

I LOVE getting reposted! Please see below, thanks to Botanical Colors!

But even more, I love cool events that I get to be a part of…hint, hint…get ready to hear all about the Sea Island indigo retreat happening this weekend in Charleston.

Botanical Colors

We’re heading down this Saturday morning, so you’ll get a round-up of the dyeing first hand, as we glean all the indigo secrets and news from Donna Hardy and Kathy Hattori, organizers of the event and growers of this special indigo field. And we’ll be joined by designer Kee Edwards, one of the sponsors, who generously donated some of her organic cotton straight from her lovely Loup Charmant collection for dyeing purposes. There’ll be a locally-sourced BBQ dinner, blue grass festivities and the debut of Cotton Road, a film by documentarian Laura Kissel.

Check out the Sea Island Retreat here. There still might be some spots available! See you in the great blue yonder!

And now, a little press for me!

I’m getting hit with a little pre-Valentine’s Day love today, thanks to the folks behind the NYNow show 100 Days of Design website.

They’re featuring Fashion Whirled and my recent round up post of favorite accessories, jewelry and home décor collections found at the NYNow show a couple weeks ago.

Bisous, NYNow! And Happy Valentine’s Day to y’all!
