A Few of My Favorite Things – Rescue Dogs, Jewelry by Gregg Wolf, Animal Rescue Work by John Bartlett

You know how much I love John Bartlett and all the work he does to raise money for dog and cat rescue groups, the volunteer time he puts in at high-risk shelters in “upstate Manhattan,” as well as the adopting of his own four- and three-legged(!) friends. (It’s because of John that we have Mignon!) I also adore Gregg Wolf’s amazingly-crafted sterling metalsmithed creations and miss his tall, handsome presence in and around his former East Village studio and boutique on 9th Street.

Tiny Tim by Gregg Wolf

Now the two have joined forces and the result is, naturally, gorgeous.  The Tiny Tim “Adopt” pendant necklace here, pictured above. It features John’s furry heaven-based friend and muse, Tiny Tim, as a symbol on the front and the word “adopt” on the back, fashionably attached to a long sterling silver ball bearing chain that can be adjusted with a super easy snip of pliers. The cost is great – $135.00 – and 10% of the proceeds goes toward helping said dog and cat rescue groups save more deserving lives from high risk shelters across the country.

What are you waiting for?!

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to make the showroom preview appointment (was working in Red Hook that day), but the gentle John sent me some lovely photos, and – voila! A treat for you here, now, dear reader.
