Yeah, that’s super model Carol Alt snuggling into Robert Verdi’s side, gearing up for a night of awards celebrating fashion’s digital drivers.

Our resident fashion diva worked the Red Carpet, then worked the 6th Annual Fashion 2.0 Awards last night as emcee, host and comedian extraordinaire. I’m talking about Robert. And, yes, he “went there” all night long, case in point a joke about concern over Joan Rivers’ death, the punchline something about so much plastic in the earth now. The long, lean and lovely Carol Alt, meanwhile, was presenter of the Special Tribute to Oscar de la Renta and Online Campaign (winner: Marc Jacobs). Her tribute was touching, heartfelt and, as she said, “off the cuff.”
Created by Yuli Ziv, founder and CEO of Style Coaltion, the evening’s event was full of a fun, fashionably slash technologically-hip crowd. Interactive Retail Award went to Rebecca Minkoff, who also took home the Top Innovator Award and Cosmic Cart won Fashion Startup.
Now if only I’d had The Watch (yeah, that one) with which to call an Uber ride home I would have been technologically complete myself. At least I have an Instagram account. Sigh.
