Bet you’re going to be green with envy!
I popped into the James Corbett Studio in Chelsea for “A Night of Green Beauty,” a beauty fair of sorts…the kind that touted all-natural, clean, organic, hand-crafted artisanal or personally-formulated as crucial key terminology, the kind that kicked off New York Fashion Week today (along with a handful of menswear shows, like Michael Bastian, Kye and Raleigh), the kind that had the kindest, sweetest beauty creators and entrepreneurs on hand to educate and inform about their lines.
Tonight marked “the first collaborative organic beauty pop up,” hosted by La Bella Figura, that featured beauty products that were to die for, but only figuratively – no toxic chemicals to harsh your delicate body eco system here. James opened his arms and his salon so the collective could be housed in his elegant venue. Featured were the best in natural beauty from La Bella Figura, Kahina, May Lindstrom Skin, Revolution Organics, Hope Gillerman, Joanna Vargas Skincare, Ilia Beauty, Tela Organics, Lurkmade Perfumes, Kjaer Weis, CV Skinlabs, SW Basics, One Love Organics, Dr. Alkaitis, Lina Hanson, Annee DeMamiel, Vered Organic Botanicals, Olie Biologique. Special guests included celebrity makeup artist Katey Denno, wellness coach Jolene Hart and facialist to the stars, Joanna Vargas. See La Bella’s write up gearing up to the event here.
Of course, there was champagne. But even better was the fresh juice bar with deliciousness from Pressed Juicery. You could also have an organic makeover at the makeup bar and then complete your look at the hairstyling bar. You’ve probably never had a more natural salon experience!
